How to reenrol

Reenrolment  is completed via WES and instructions are available online. If you have any questions contact student services at the Parkville campus.

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (and Pharmacy/Commerce) students should refer to the Bachelor of Pharmacy course information page for information about course requirements, including links to the Undergraduate Handbook and course maps.
  • Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science students will need to consider which major they will undertake when reenrolling, either Formulation Science or Medicinal Chemistry. Students should refer to the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science course information page.
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Pharmaceutical Science students enrolling into Clayton units should contact Vicki Nash from the Faculty of Engineering  for further information.
  • HDR and Masters by research candidates need to reenrol if they are continuing their research program into 2010 and will not be submitting their thesis by 18 December 2009. Any HDR reenrolment queries should be submitted to Kate Davies.
  • Postgraduate coursework students who are continuing study can access their course structures online and should contact Kay Faunce if they have any questions.

Course planning advice for students who have failed units or been granted credit for previous studies

Students who have not passed all their units will need to repeat the failed unit (or equivalent) in the following year, usually alongside some units from the year level above, provided the prerequisites are met and there are no timetable clashes.

Students are permitted to enrol in a combination of 1st/2nd year units, or 2nd/3rd year units if they have failed a unit or enrolled with credit. However, 3rd/4th year units cannot be combined due to placements creating unresolvable timetable clashes. 1st/2nd/3rd year units may not be taken in the same year.

Students in this situation are encouraged to make a course planning appointment. Please contact the Team Leader, Student Services for further information.

Prerequisite waivers

To be enrolled in any unit from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, it is expected that students will have satisfied all prerequisite requirements.

However, if students believe they have exceptional circumstances compelling them to attempt a unit without having successfully completed the prerequisities, they must seek approval for the prerequisite rules to be waived by completing the Application to waive prerequisite conditions form [PDF 32KB].
