End-of-semester special considerationIf you are prevented from attending the final examination(s) for any unit(s) due to any of the above acceptable reasons, you may apply for a deferred exam by submitting the end-of-semester special consideration application form to Student Services with supporting documentation, within two working days (48 hours) of your last examination for the semester. It is important to note that a student who completes the final examination will not be eligible to apply for special consideration. Pre-approvalThe end-of-semester special consideration application form can now be submitted for pre-approval prior to the scheduled examination. Please submit this form at least 5 days prior to the exam. Applications will be assessed and students notified electronically by Student Services at least 24 hours prior to the exam via their Monash e-mail account. If you present for the final examinations after being granted a pre-approved deferred examination, the special consideration decision will be revoked, and the mark for the final examination will count towards the mark for the unit. No further special consideration can be lodged for that examination. Sick on the dayAs mentioned, students who sit the final examination will not be eligible to apply for special consideration. However, if you attend the final exam and are unfit to complete due to illness or other acceptable reasons for special consideration you should do the following:
