Deferred Examinations

The granting of a deferred examination will be restricted to students who were unable to attend the final examination or who sat the final examination, but were unable to complete due to illness or other exceptional circumstances

Again, students who complete the final examination/assessment task will not be eligible for special consideration. Deferred examinations will be scheduled during the official deferred examination period as determined by the examinations unit.

Delayed-deferred exams

A delayed-deferred examination will only be granted in exceptional circumstances, for example if a student was an inpatient in a hospital on the day of the exam.  Written requests together with a copy of the original deferred examination application and supporting evidence must be sent to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education, Building 3A, Monash University, Clayton Campus, 3800.
