The Student Community Achievement Award

This award recognises those students who have made an extraordinary contribution to student life at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences during their undergraduate course.

Eligibility
All students in the final year of their undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences eligible.

Criteria
A student is eligible for this award if they have worked hard in their time at university to help their fellow students, either through student clubs or other activities to improve the social, humanitarian, or educational components of student life. It is not essential for nominees to have been office bearers of student clubs, they may just have worked tirelessly in the background on activities that have made a difference at the faculty.

How to put together a nomination
Students can only be nominated by a fellow student, or group of students. Any student in any year of any course can be a nominator. Nominations must be kept confidential. The nominated student must not be aware that they are being nominated. 

Nominations are made via a two page letter (maximum) outlining the contributions of the nominated student. Each application must include the name of the student being nominated and who is nominating them, plus the course of the nominee and nominator. Each nomination must also include the name of a staff member willing to be a referee for the nominated student. (No written references from staff are required). Staff referees will be contacted by phone to make a short verbal statement about the nominated student. Nominations should be submitted by email to Jessica Dobbie.

Selection panel
Made up of staff from the faculty and the Victorian College of Pharmacy Foundation.

Award
An award will be presented at the final year celebration party on Saturday 7 November.
