Orientation

Students participating in Orientation.

Orientation (Monday 23 – Friday 27 February 2009) is a fantastic way to settle into university life.

The faculty has tailored the Orientation program at Parkville to ensure you get connected to other people in your course and faculty, meet staff and get to know the campus. You will also receive information on studying at university, how everything works and the services available. Orientation will ensure you are fully equipped to tackle your first week of classes, so make sure you attend and make a smooth transition to university!

See your personal eOrientation Planner to find out what is happening and when. Activities at Parkville include a trivia night, getting to know your lecturers, learning about student support facilities and the Monash Parkville Students' Association  cruise on the Yarra.

As part of Orientation each new student is assigned to a small group led by a mentor, who is a later year student in the faculty. The mentor program is a great way to meet other new students and find out about university life.

The Monash University orientation website contains lots of information about orientation and transition to university, and contains Parkville specific orientation information too!
