Carpooling at Monash

Carpooling is a means of limiting the number of cars being driven to the campus, therefore reducing greenhouse emissions, traffic and parking congestion. The My.Monash carpool matching service helps you find other students or staff who you can carpool with. By linking people living nearby who have similar work or study times – or just want a lift to the shopping centre after Uni – we can make more efficient use of our cars.

A new real time matching service now enables you to get a lift from your campus spontaneously by just calling the number of the poster and making arrangements for same-day rides. Live carpooling allows for much more flexible travel behaviour and encourages people to think about their transport choices more consciously rather than just jump into their cars and go places on their own.
