6th Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the 6th Annual Post Graduate Research Symposium. The day was a great success with the wonderful turnout and support by HDR students and academics.
There were 29 posters and 14 oral presentations this year. The judges had an extremely difficult job with the standard being very high. The overall prize winners for the day were:
Most outstanding oral presentation: Julia Gilmartin
Second place oral presentation: Carol Gee
Oral honourable mention: Yanni Chin and Bradley Doak
Most outstanding poster presentation: William O'Malley
Second place poster presentation: Dharmini Mehta
Poster honourable mention: Durgesh Tiwari
Audience vote for favourite poster: Phuc Ung
Audience vote for oral: Carol Gee
And a registration prize won by Kalliope Poulios
We would like to thank the plenary speaker, Professor Nigel Bunnett. We were motivated by the plenary address which gave us an overview of his international research experiences and the research activity he will be continuing with at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Thank you must also be extended to all the Parkville Postgraduate Association (PPA) led by Jeremy Shonberg and Anna Davey and PPA committee members who did a wonderful job on the day.
