Scholarships

PhD and Master of Pharmaceutical Science applicants and candidates

As a potential research student you are eligible to apply for a non-taxable stipend or living allowance. If you are an international applicant, student tuition fee scholarship opportunities are also available.

The competition for scholarships is intense. Applicants must demonstrate that their qualifications and experience are the equivalent of a Bachelor degree at an Honours level of H1 or equivalent. If you do not have a H1 grade you will need excellent results from your undergraduate degree/s and/or postgraduate degree/s as well as combinations of the following:

• Publications in refereed journals;
• Conference abstracts;
• Reports;
• Patents;
• Academic prizes;
• Essentially, any evidence that demonstrates research proficiency and experience

Scholarship opportunities (including scholarships for international applicants ) are available.

On-line applications for candidature in research degrees at the faculty can be actioned at any time during the year. However, the on-line application process for scholarships closing date is 31 October. Results are announced in mid December for scholarships commencing in the new year period.

Cyril Tonkin Scholarship 2014

Applications for the 2014 Cyril Tonkin research scholarship close on Thursday 30th October, 2013.

For 2012 the scholarship will be available to a confirmed candidate enrolled within the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
