The Postgraduate travel grants aplication guidelines has been updated to reflect the changes. The following table details the grants available from MRGS.
Faculty travel grant subsidyThe Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will subsidise the MRGS portion of the grant for students to attend one international conference (up to $1000) and two interstate conferences* (up to $250 each) during their candidature. After you have completed the MRGS travel grant application and this has been approved by your supervisor please bring it down to the faculty research office, room G35, who will check it and have it approved by the Associate dean of research training before forwarding it to MRGS. After your application has been lodged it will take up to six weeks for approval to occur, then MRGS will transfer the money into the faculty account. By this stage you will likely need to purchase your airline tickets and then present your original tax invoice, receipt and possibly your credit card statements to laisa.tigarea-thomson@monash.edu who will arrange to have the funds reimbursed directly into your bank account. Travel Grants from the faculty and MRGS do not cover accommodation, food or registration expenses. If you are unable to meet these additional expenses personally, speak to your supervisor and research theme leader about whether there are research theme funds available to assist with these. *If you are attending an interstate conference, and your flight expenses are less than $250 – you do not need to fill in the MRGS Travel Grant form. Please just bring the tax invoice, receipt and possibly credit card statement to the Postgraduate research programs administrator, laisa.tigarea-thomson@monash.edu in the faculty research office, room number G35, who will arrange to have the funds reimbursed directly into your bank account. |
