Evacuation

On hearing the ALERT signal (an intermittent ‘beep’) prepare to leave the building.  Follow any instructions given over the public address (PA) system

On hearing the Evacuate signal (a distinctive 'whooping' tone) or if instructed to do so by a building warden, leave the buildings immediately by the nearest and safest exit route.

Walk to the Parkville campus designated assembly area, in front of the faculty buildings on the grassed areas in Royal Parade, unless instructed otherwise by authorised personnel. Move up the road away from the city as the area becomes crowded or when requested by emergency personnel

DO NOT assemble on the road, footpaths or the driveways. 

Walk - Do NOT run

Do NOT use a lift.

Follow instructions from Monash staff, wardens, Monash Security or emergency services.

Do NOT leave the assembly area or re-enter the building until an authorised person gives the all clear.
