  • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, particularly in relation to anti-infective drugs
  • Optimisation of use of antibacterial drugs to maximise their activity and minimise potential for development of resistance
  • Discovery and development of anti-infective drugs, especially for multidrug-resistant organisms
  • Investigation of bacterial resistance mechanisms 
  • Hepatic and renal handling of drugs and metabolites 
  • Medication and patient safety

Education

  • Teaching in Bachelor of Pharmacy and postgraduate programs, in particular relating to pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
