Research interests

  • Use of stem cells, and cells derived by differentiation of stem cells, in drug discovery
  • Molecular pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors (eg adenosine, serotonin and melanocortin receptors)
  • Design and performance of delivery systems for nucleic acid therapeutics (DNA and RNA).
  • Lipid-based delivery systems for oral delivery of poorly water-soluble drugs

Education

  • Responsible for teaching programs in biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, physiology, and pharmacology.
