2012 MIPS Seminar Program

The 2012 MIPS seminar program will consist of an increased number of research seminars across this year, (20 in total), of which 10 will be by leading external scientists who will deliver a seminar during their visit to MIPS. During their visits, MIPS will be show cased and the visitor will have an opportunity to meet with various MIPS scientists. 10 of the seminars will consist of presentations by faculty members.

The purpose of the MIPS research seminar series is to provide an opportunity for the description of research programs and findings in more detail and give staff and research students the opportunity to learn more about the research that is being conducted externally, and within the faculty and promote collaboration.

Some of the seminars delivered by the external presenters will be tagged as ‘MIPS Molecular Medicine Seminars' and will be delivered by outstanding clinical scientists or outstanding scientists working on clinical problems. This is to raise and maintain awareness of the clinical problems that are out there to be solved.

All university staff (research and academic), alumni, all higher degree by research students and honours research students are invited to attend the seminars.

The 2012 MIPS seminar program will be held on Wednesdays (fortnightly) between 11am-12pm at Monash University (Parkville Campus), 381 Royal Parade, Parkville VIC.

Please rsvp to Carolyn Fox if you wish to attend.
