What's the difference between a pharmaceutical scientist and a pharmacist?

A pharmaceutical scientist is an expert in the science and technology related to the design and development of medicines - how medicines work, how safe and effective products are taken to market, their impact on the body and their effect on the treatment of disease.

A pharmacist is a medicines expert who may dispense medicines, provide primary care and medicines advice, and manage a patient's medication requirements.

The Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science equips graduates to work in the pharmaceutical science field. If you want to be a pharmacist, you must complete the Bachelor of Pharmacy.
