Make an impact on health care

Remember how you feel when you hear about a breakthrough for a treatment or a cure for a disease? Or a teaching method that is transforming learning?  How would you feel if that breakthrough had been made in Australia? In Melbourne?

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has recently invested in a suite of innovative technology systems, curricula and buildings.  This includes Virtual Practice Environments and research-based teaching practices where Pharmville 3052- a virtual community of families and the virtual world of Pharmatopia  with avatars forms part of an immersive method of real life pharmacy learning situations for students.

The new research intensive facility- 399 Royal Parade, Parkville positions the faculty's academics and researchers to advance their learning and role in major health research partnerships- locally and globally.  Partnerships that are investigating major health issues-

  1. CNS diseases
  2. Infectious diseases
  3. Cancer
  4. Metabolic disorders

You too can be part of their important work and make an impact on the health care of our communities.  Your donations to the Victorian College of Pharmacy Foundation will support the work of our academics and researchers.  Will you help make a world of difference?
