Wound Care - Mode of delivery

Off-campus learning

Postgraduate studies in wound care are delivered by off campus learning. Students are provided with comprehensive learning materials for home study and are supported by a multidisciplinary team of experts utilising online tools and resources through the Monash online learning environment. To utilise the online learning facilities at Monash, participants must have personal computer, access to a reasonable internet connection with Netscape or Microsoft Explorer browser, Microsoft Office software as well as a CD-ROM and access to a DVD player.

Study block

There is a one week compulsory study block in the Graduate Diploma where students will be expected to attend a series of practical workshops and wound clinic observation. This study block is held in Melbourne.

Time commitment

Students are expected to allocate 12 hours per week, per 6 credit point unit, while studying via off campus learning. Given individual differences in learning styles, it is expected that this time allocation is sufficiently reasonable for participants to study the prepared material, appraise the readings, interact with the Unit Advisors and undertake the assessment tasks.
