Monash postgraduate student benefits

When you enrol in the Monash University Pharmacy Internship program or the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice, you will become a Monash University postgraduate student. This means you will have access to a wide range of Monash facilities and services, including:

  • Monash University libraries (all campuses)
  • Online library resources including databases (eg. Micromedex, Ovid Medline, etc), online textbooks, and hundreds of online pharmacy and medical journals;
  • Computer resources, including access to e-mail, MUSO, my.Monash portal, etc;
  • Counselling services;
  • Language support services (the Pharmacy Board requires good communication skills and fluency in English for registration as a pharmacist in Victoria; several interns have taken advantage of this service to help improve their communication skills).
  • You can also join the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Postgraduate Association (VCPPA), which provides you with free or subsidised attendance at VCPPA events, including social functions and professional development events such as career nights.

Quote

“I think the Graduate Certificate will help me in my career, especially as the drought of pharmacists is now over.  Further qualifications will not only make me a better pharmacist, it will make me more employable.” – Beth Kline, Pre registrant 2007
