“This job is dynamic, challenging and customer service orientated. It involves relaying information between Sigma Manufacturing and our various corporate customers, ensuring all requests are actioned and issues are resolved. I also negotiate deals with customers and process purchase orders.

The position is inter-related to many different departments, which gives me a great overall knowledge of how the whole industry works. As well, I need to be a specialist with a lot of knowledge about the product range I’m assigned to. I’m working on building strong long-term relationships with customers and becoming a master of delivering both good and bad news!

My degree gave me a great basis for my work. Monash’s lecturers were highly knowledgeable in their field and were very approachable when extra help was needed. I particularly liked the physiology/biochemistry aspects of the course, as knowledge was continuously built on from first to final year.

Originally, I thought I’d be working in an R&D role. But being a people person, I’m loving the level of interaction and problem-solving associated with this job. In the future, I hope to keep climbing the pharmaceutical industry corporate ladder.”
