Honours degree of the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical ScienceCourse Code: 2631 (Parkville Campus) Entry requirementsThe prerequisite for entry to the Honours Degree of the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science is a bachelor degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Medicinal Chemistry, Formulation Science or other related field. An average overall credit grade or higher in the final year of the course, or equivalent qualifications and experience deemed by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Training Committee to be suitable preparation for the candidate’s proposed field of study is required. Course structureFor 2013, the honours degree consists of 25% coursework and 75% supervised research undertaken in any of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences research areas.
With permission of the Research Training Committee it may also be possible to undertake a portion of the research in an external institution (e.g., hospital or industry laboratory). If a substantial portion of the research work is to be carried out in an external institution, the Research Training Committee might require a person within that institution to act as an associate supervisor.
