Peter Cook

Peter completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy at the college in 1969 and went on to complete his Master of Pharmacy in 1977. His Masters degree in Pharmacy was the first to be awarded by publication. He also completed a Master of Business Administration at RMIT, where he taught organisation theory from 1972 to 1976. He has been a member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (Victorian Branch) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Peter was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Biota in December 2005. Prior to joining Biota, he was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Orbital Corporation Limited, a powertrain engineering company with unique technologies in direct injection of internal combustion engines. He previously held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of Faulding Pharmaceuticals, President of Ansell's Protective Products Division, Deputy Managing Director of Invetech and Director of Research and Development for Nicholas Kiwi. He was a Production Manager at Drug Houses of Australia from 1969 to 1973 and has also worked at the Ford Motor Company, 1973-1976, as a Graduate Training Coordinator.

Peter has extensive business experience within Australia, and over ten years of international commercial experience in Europe, USA and Asia, where he has both lived and worked. He is a non executive Director of Quickstep Holdings Limited.
