The Victorian College of Pharmacy At Monash Seminar, held on May 25, attracted a fantastic turn out of future students at their families.
Presentations by Associate Professor Louis Roller, Dr. Ben Capuano and Professor Barrie Finnin outlined the Pharmaceutical Science, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacy degree and their scholarship opportunities. In addition to this visitors where treated to an insight into the student experience and possible career outcomes. 2003 graduate, Anthony Agnew spoke about his career path and how he secured a position working as a Formulation Chemist at Mayne Pharma, Alana Meaklim gave an insight into the pre-registration year and and Corrine Kluvers, who has recently received a Vice-Chancellor’s Undergraduate Research scholarship, spoke about her honours year in Medicinal Chemistry at Monash University.
The night proved to be very successful with participants making statements such as "I am now highly motivated" and "The seminar was excellent, it exceeded my expectations. The content was interesting and useful and I would definitely consider these courses".
